The flight
We’ll climb to establish wind patterns and then choose flight levels to suit the surrounding scenery and ground immediately below us. If there are no obstructions, we’ll sometimes hedge-hop or tree-skim. At other times we’ll fly to a height to provide you with a panoramic 360° view of the vista, be it the Cheviots, the Northumbrian Coastline or the rolling hills of the Scottish Borders – it all depends where the wind takes us.
We’ll highlight points of interest and significant features as we drift along and keep you informed as to the general progress of the flight.
Unfortunately, at some point all good things come to an end and, after around an hour or so, the pilot will select a suitable landing area and begin the landing phase.
